The Professor
The Professor is the leader of the bandits Geralt fights at Kaer Morhen in the Prologue of The Witcher. In Defending Kaer Morhen, the attackers storm the witchers’ fortress, and the Professor kills Leo. This loss sets off Witchers’ Secrets, Geralt’s long hunt for the stolen secrets and for Leo’s killers.
The Professor keeps turning up as Salamandra’s reach grows. In Berengar’s Secret, Geralt learns that the Professor sent the witcher Berengar out to look for the boy Alvin. In Vizima, the quest Wanted, which starts in Act II, lets Geralt collect rewards for Salamandra brooches from a mysterious wealthy man.
In Act III, during The Unforgiven, Geralt makes his way into the gang’s base and faces the Professor and Azar Javed. The Wanted quest closes once the Professor is dead, though the fight against Salamandra is far from over.
