Mael

A taciturn elven merchant and craftsman in Vergen whose shop sells some of the best armour in Chapter 2.

Mael is an elf in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings who keeps a shop on Rhundurin Square in Vergen during Chapter 2 on Iorveth’s path. He is notably taciturn; as his journal entry puts it, speech is silver, but silence is golden. He must have had the means to do something more exciting than run a shop, but his goods are well worth a look.

Good to know

  • He is a craftsman as well as a merchant and can make armour, swords and traps.
  • He sells Dragon Scale Armor, one of the best armours available at the start of the chapter.
  • He plays dice but is not tied to any quest.
