Peter Saar Gwynleve is a captain of the Nilfgaardian army and a former farmer. After Nilfgaard’s victory at the Battle of White Orchard, his company occupies a ruined fort northwest of the village, and he governs White Orchard. By the standards of an occupying army, he is fair: he keeps order, and he makes every able-bodied man help clear the bodies left by the battle.
In The Witcher 3
Geralt comes to the captain in Lilac and Gooseberries looking for news of Yennefer. Gwynleve will talk, but first there is a griffin terrorizing the roads. He sends Geralt to the herbalist Tomira and the hunter Mislav, and once The Beast of White Orchard is dead, he pays Geralt and points him to Vizima. The captain later travels to the Royal Palace in Vizima himself on matters of war.
