Polycarp of Rinde
Polycarp of Rinde is a half-brother of the Order of the Flaming Rose and its master at arms. As his name says, he comes from Rinde in southern Redania.
In The Witcher 2
In Chapter 3 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the Order is camped at Loc Muinne. King Radovid V invited several of its knights to help keep the peace during the summit, and Polycarp came along with the grandmaster, Siegfried of Denesle. He serves as a merchant in the Order’s camp.
The journal notes that Polycarp is not especially friendly toward Geralt, despite the favours the witcher has done the Order in the past, and that he is reluctant to let Geralt make use of the Order’s armory stock. Given that the Order’s knights in Loc Muinne still hold a grudge over what happened to their old grandmaster in the first game, the cool welcome is hardly a surprise.
