Proximo
Proximo is the man behind the fighters’ arena in King Henselt‘s army camp in Chapter 2 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The journal describes him as a gifted speaker whose arena is famous throughout Kaedwen and beyond, and the bouts he stages exist largely to keep the king entertained.
In The Witcher 2
Geralt only meets Proximo on Vernon Roche‘s path, in the Kaedweni Military Camp. He stands by a fire with some soldiers next to the arena, and fights there only take place during the day.
Once Geralt has finished The Butcher of Cidaris, Proximo invites him into the arena for Ave Henselt!. Geralt fights three opponents in a row, Gwideon, Rendag and Borin, and then faces a final challenger: Ves of the Blue Stripes, armed with two short swords.
Proximo is also the man to ask about work. He hands out The Rotfiend Contract, the king’s bounty for clearing the rotfiends feeding on the dead around the camp, which is also posted on the notice board by the canteen. When the job is done, Proximo is the one who pays.
