Sendler

Sendler is a tanner and leatherworker in Lobinden in The Witcher 2, the best dice player around Flotsam and owner of a troll’s head trophy.

Sendler is a tanner and leatherworker in Lobinden, the village outside Flotsam, in Chapter 1 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The journal describes him as a capable, dependable craftsman who keeps a small stall of goods he has made himself, takes custom orders, and gets through hard times by hard work. His house is easy to spot: it has fish hanging outside, southwest of Anezka’s house.

In The Witcher 2

Sendler is also the best dice player in the area and the final opponent in Poker Face: Flotsam. The dwarven bookseller Einar Gausel sends Geralt his way. Beat him, and instead of the coin in the pot Geralt can choose one of three trap diagrams: Conflagration, Clawer or Talgar Winter.

He matters in Troll Trouble too. A she-troll’s head hangs on the wall of his hut, a trophy from the female troll that Dmitri killed. Sendler will not simply hand it over or sell it, but Geralt can win it from him at dice poker. Returning the head to the grieving troll earns the Hunter’s Armor diagram. Sendler is also the one who tells Geralt that Dmitri’s men drink at the inn, which puts the witcher on Dmitri’s trail.

Good to know

  • The trap diagram is only on offer the first time you beat him.
  • Poker Face: Flotsam fails if Geralt leaves Chapter 1 before finishing it, so play Sendler before heading to Vergen or Henselt’s camp.
