Dmitri

Dmitri is a bandit near Flotsam in The Witcher 2 who killed the troll’s wife in Troll Trouble and is hunted down and killed by Geralt.

Dmitri is a bandit around Flotsam in Chapter I of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Geralt’s journal does not hide its contempt: he made his blood money from every kind of suffering, human and nonhuman alike, and comparing him to a Zangwebarian hyena would be an insult to the hyena.

In The Witcher 2

Dmitri is the man behind the grief in Troll Trouble. He killed the wife of the troll at the ruined bridge and sold her head to the merchant Sendler. On top of that, a document on Flotsam’s notice board declares him free of all charges, a free pass written by Louis Merse.

Sendler names Dmitri as the seller, and Maddie, a friend of his at the tavern, can be made to talk through intimidation or a fistfight. She reveals that he is hiding at the Lobinden cemetery. Geralt finds him there with three of his men and kills them all; Dmitri’s body carries a key to the bandits’ hideout. Geralt can then tell the troll that his wife has been avenged and give him her head as a keepsake. The journal closes the matter in a single line: the witcher took his life, and nothing more needs to be said.
