Serrit
Serrit was a witcher of the School of the Viper and one of the Kingslayers who set the North on fire in The Witcher 2. Together with Letho and Auckes, he worked for Emperor Emhyr var Emreis, whose plan was to throw the Northern Kingdoms into chaos by killing their kings. Letho recruited him into the plot after Serrit had been caught by the Nilfgaardian secret police.
Serrit and Geralt had history. Before the events of the games, Serrit was one of the Vipers travelling with Letho when Geralt saved Letho’s life in Angren, and the Vipers repaid the favour by helping Geralt search for the Wild Hunt, which had taken Yennefer. Serrit was there at the fight at the Hanged Man’s Tree, and when Geralt offered himself to the Hunt in exchange for Yennefer, the Vipers left with her.
Of the two lesser Kingslayers, Serrit was the more hot-headed one, keener than Auckes to strike at King Henselt. He was pragmatic, cared little about Triss or Síle, and respected Geralt both as a fighter and as a friend. Like Auckes, he had a fondness for bear traps, and according to a Scoia’tael prisoner he spoke the Elder Speech very well.
In The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Serrit is at first only a mysterious name whose goals and role Geralt has yet to discover. A vision of Auckes’ memories reveals that Serrit is the second kingslayer, acting on Letho’s orders; together the three were responsible for the murders of Foltest and Demavend and the attempt on Henselt’s life.
Geralt knows where to find Serrit, but Sile de Tansarville reaches him first. Before dying, Serrit confirms Sile’s involvement in the conspiracy and says that he knew Geralt, but he dies before revealing more.
