Ursten is a small, closely-knit logging and fishing village situated along the heavily forested northern coastline of Velen, just south of Novigrad’s borders. The community relies entirely on timber harvesting and river fishing to survive the harsh wartime economy. Because of its dense forest location, the village lives under constant threat from aggressive woodland monsters like nekkers and fiends, forcing the locals to maintain active wooden defenses and rely heavily on passing mercenaries for protection.
