Overview
Be It Ever So Humble… is the last main quest in Blood and Wine, and the final chapter of Geralt’s story in The Witcher 3. It follows either Pomp and Strange Circumstance or Burlap is the New Stripe. In a playthrough that includes the base game, it only appears after Something Ends, Something Begins is finished and Geralt returns to Toussaint.
Who is waiting
At Corvo Bianco, the majordomo Barnabas-Basil Foulty tells Geralt that a visitor has arrived but would not give a name. Who it is depends on choices made in the base game:
- Triss, if Geralt romanced her.
- Yennefer, if Geralt romanced her.
- Ciri, if Geralt romanced neither or both of them, and Ciri became a witcher or empress. Her conversation reflects the path she took.
- Dandelion, if Geralt romanced neither or both and Ciri did not return. He is also the visitor in a standalone Blood and Wine playthrough.
After the greetings, Geralt and his guest talk about their lives and what lies ahead, and the story closes at the vineyard he now calls home.
