No Place Like Home (Blood and Wine)

Geralt takes possession of the Corvo Bianco vineyard and, with his majordomo's help, restores it to its former glory.

Overview

No Place Like Home is a Blood and Wine secondary quest that begins after The Beast of Toussaint. As an advance on the reward for hunting the Beast of Beauclair, Anna Henrietta gives Geralt the deed to the Corvo Bianco vineyard. The estate has seen better days, and fixing it up becomes an ongoing project.

Meeting the majordomo

At Corvo Bianco, the majordomo Barnabas-Basil Foulty introduces himself and shows Geralt around. Talk to him about renovations, and he will handle the work as long as Geralt pays for it. Each upgrade takes one or more days to finish, so it pays to meditate or go about other business in the meantime.

First round of renovations

  • General house renovation: 5,000 crowns, three days.
  • Armor repair table on the grounds: 1,000 crowns, one day.
  • Grindstone on the grounds: 1,000 crowns, one day.

When the general renovation is done, Barnabas mentions an unusual discovery in the cellar. Searching it reveals a hidden laboratory and a letter left by the person who built it.

Second round

  • Bed: 1,000 crowns, one day. Sleeping in it gives a vitality bonus.
  • Weapon racks: 500 crowns, one day, adding two more racks.
  • Armor stands: 500 crowns, one day, adding two more stands.
  • Guest room: 1,000 crowns, two days.
  • Stable: 2,000 crowns, two days, which boosts Roach’s stamina.
  • Garden: 2,000 crowns, two days, where Geralt can grow herbs and use the dye and mutagen conversion features.

Once everything is finished, a final talk with Barnabas completes the quest. Corvo Bianco is also where the story ends, in Be It Ever So Humble….
