Overview
Envoys, Wineboys is the first main quest of Blood and Wine, the second expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It becomes available after A Poet Under Pressure, when a notice appears on the boards: an appeal to “Sir Geralt of Rivia, the Bridge his Crest”.
What happens
The notice leads to the Stonecutters’ Settlement in Velen. There Geralt finds two knights errant from Toussaint, Palmerin de Launfal and Milton de Peyrac-Peyran, being begged for help by villagers. If you arrive early, you see the scene play out, and later they simply wait in one of the huts.
The knights are glad to see Geralt, but first they insist on protecting the villagers from a gang of bandits. Geralt can help or talk them out of it. If he helps, Palmerin tries to talk the bandits into mending their ways, and they laugh at the knights from Toussaint. A fight follows.
The knights then hand over a summons from Duchess Anna Henrietta: a monster is killing people in Toussaint, and she wants a witcher. Once Geralt accepts, the three ride south, and the story continues in The Beast of Toussaint.
