The Seven Cats Inn sits in the Gustfields on the southeastern edge of Novigrad, close to the bridge leading to the Southern Gate. The in-game signpost calls it a dank establishment with a shady clientele, and that is a fair summary: a smoky common room, low beams, and the kind of guests who prefer to sit with their backs to the wall. The name is no exaggeration either, since seven different cats roam the grounds, and they seem to be the only residents with a clear conscience.

The innkeep sells food, drink and a few Gwent cards. If Geralt freed Thaler, the foul-mouthed Temerian spy, from Ogg, Pogg and Rogg, his wagon turns up by the notice board, and a note there makes it clear that the dwarf Odrin is no longer welcome after an earlier visit.

The inn ties into Fencing Lessons, Following the Thread and Gwent: Old Pals. For Hearts of Stone owners it matters even more: the notice board here starts Evil’s Soft First Touches, the first quest of the expansion and the road to Gaunter O’Dimm and Olgierd von Everec.
