The Barghest Contract

The Barghest Contract is a monster contract in Act I of The Witcher, posted on the notice board outside the inn in the Outskirts of Vizima. Abigail, the village herbalist, wants ten barghest skulls and pays 100 orens and a mandrake root for the set.

Barghests are the spectral hounds that roam the village after dark, so this is a night shift. Unlike many contracts, no book is needed to recognise the trophy: kill the dogs, grab the skulls and head back to Abigail’s hut.

Walkthrough

  1. Read the barghest contract on the notice board outside the inn.
  2. Wait for nightfall and hunt the barghests that appear around the village.
  3. Collect ten barghest skulls from the bodies.
  4. Bring the skulls to Abigail and collect your reward.
