Penitent
The Penitent is a unique, ancient, and exceptionally powerful foglet that commands a permanent, freezing shroud of supernatural mist around the coastal lighthouse of Eldberg. Summoned by a dark curse born from a local shipwrecking conspiracy, this malevolent entity feeds entirely on the immense guilt, greed, and tragic sorrow of the town’s lighthouse keeper. It moves swiftly through the blinding sea fog as an intangible shadow, slaughtering any sailors or traveling mercenaries who attempt to investigate the beacon.
Combat strategy
The Penitent is significantly more dangerous than a standard foglet and cannot be harmed while cloaked in its dark mist. Lure the monster into a Yrden Sign or detonate a Moon Dust bomb to force it into a solid, corporeal state. Once forced into physical form, attack relentlessly with a silver blade coated in Necrophage Oil. Use the Quen Sign to protect against its high-damage ambush strikes from invisibility.
