Nameless is the Skellige main quest that follows Missing Persons. Ciri left Lofoten with a young man the villagers now call Craven, and he went to Freya’s Garden to prove himself against the monster living there. Geralt and Yennefer know there is little chance he is still alive, but he is the only lead they have.
Freya’s Garden
Geralt tracks Craven’s footsteps through the woods and into the overgrown garden near the temple of Freya on Hindarsfjall. Depending on what the player has already done, the monster of the garden, the werewolf Morkvarg, may still be lurking there. Craven did not flee: he faced the beast bravely and was mortally wounded. He crawled into an underground chamber, and that is where he died and where Geralt finds his body.
A last conversation
For most people, that would be the end of the trail. Not for Yennefer. She refuses to let their only witness go silent and uses necromancy to bring Craven back long enough to talk. It is one of the darker scenes of the game, and Geralt makes no secret of what he thinks about it. What the dead man tells them plays out as The Calm Before the Storm, and the villagers learn that the young man they cast out, whose real name was Skjall, died a hero.
