Superior Ursine Gauntlets

Superior Ursine Gauntlets are the upgraded hand armor of the Bear School gear, the third of the base game’s four levels (basic, enhanced, superior and mastercrafted). They are heavy armor built for a tanky build that takes hits and fights back, and their headline bonus is +8% Adrenaline Point gain.

The last base-game step is the mastercrafted version, which needs these as a component, and the line ends with the Grandmaster Ursine Gauntlets in Blood and Wine. Compared with the Enhanced Ursine Gauntlets the armor rating goes from 55 to 65, and they gain an upgrade slot. The rest of the superior set: armor, trousers, boots.

How to obtain

Craft

Crafted by a journeyman armorer once you have the superior Ursine gauntlets diagram. The recipe consumes the Enhanced Ursine Gauntlets, so craft them first. Requires character level 30.

Diagram location

All four Superior Ursine armor diagrams are in a nekker cave north of Mulbrydale, not far from the Hanged Man’s Tree in Velen. Keep to the left wall inside; the chest is in a dead end a few steps in.
