Cynthia
In The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Cynthia is the lover of the sorceress Philippa Eilhart at the time of the story. Philippa’s choice of partners is well known, though people discuss it only in certain circles and out of her hearing.
Cynthia is also secretly working as a spy for the Nilfgaardian Empire. By the time those in a position to stop her uncover her deception, it is already too late.
Geralt later meets her again unexpectedly: Cynthia is in charge of a scientific expedition into the caverns beneath Loc Muinne, aiming to reach the laboratory of the renowned mage Dearhenna. Soon after the group sets out, old resentments and fresh disputes boil over into a fight, and Geralt, tired of the Nilfgaardians, kills her.
