Filibert von Wittan is the son of a knight errant. As a young man he challenged the famous knight Maximus Macrinus to a duel to the death and lost. His life was spared, but he lost a finger and his honor, and ever since he has been known as Fourfingers.
Filibert left Toussaint during Duke Raymund’s reign but never forgot the humiliation. He eventually returned to take his revenge on his old enemies, above all Maximus. He gathered a hand-picked band of outlaws, a hanse, at Mont Crane Castle, and his men now prey on travelers all over the Champs-Désolés.

Filibert’s hanse base is one of the targets of Knight for Hire. Geralt storms Mont Crane Castle, fights through the bandits and kills Fourfingers himself. The treasure hunts Filibert Always Pays His Debts and Waiting for Goe and Doh also tie into his gang’s dealings.
