Vaska

Vaska is the eldress of the brickmakers in the Swamp Forest, who hands Geralt several jobs in Acts II and III.

Vaska is the eldress of the brickmakers, and Geralt deals with her in the Swamp Forest during Act II. In Clay Pits she asks him to clear drowners out of the pits where her people work, promising 50 orens. When the job is done she does not pay the coins, but gives him a magic stone called a Sephirah instead.

In A Lost Lamb, Vaska claims the druids have taken a boy to turn him into a dryad and asks Geralt to find him. The child is found in poor shape, and she thanks Geralt for bringing the news. She also tells Geralt the story of the sealed tower, which starts The Sentry, and in A Long Way from Home he considers asking for her help because she gets along well with the fishpeople.

In Act III, during Reaping Time, Vaska asks Geralt to free the brickmakers captured by Salamanders under Roland Bleinheim and forced to gather herbs. After he rescues all three groups, she welcomes him into the community that worships the Lords and sends him to the hierophant in the Druids’ Grove.
