Celina

Celina is Alina’s jealous sister in Murky Waters in The Witcher, who causes Alina’s death, is killed by Adam and returns as a nightwraith.

Celina is the sister of Alina, the village chief’s daughter in Murky Waters, in Act IV of The Witcher. Alina is about to marry Julian, a wealthy merchant from Kovir, and Celina is in love with him herself. That jealousy is the root of one of the saddest stories in the game.

In The Witcher

In The Heat of the Day, Alina asks Geralt to keep an eye on her sister, whom she suspects of trying to seduce Julian. Soon after, Alina goes missing. The sisters had fought, and Celina caused Alina’s death, most likely by pushing her from the ruined mill tower. While searching the Fields, Geralt sees Adam, who loved Alina, catch Celina and stab her to death.

Neither sister finds rest. Alina becomes a noonwraith in the raspberry patch, and Celina returns as a nightwraith that walks the fields at night. Once Alina has accepted her death, through Dandelion‘s poem or Adam’s sacrifice, she still cannot leave until she has made peace with her sister, and she forgives Celina. Geralt can then free Celina by giving her the Wreath of Immortelles, or simply kill her.
