Opinicus
The opinicus is a rare relative of the griffin and the archgriffin. In The Witcher 3 you meet it in the forest outside Oxenfurt. It attacks from the air and spits acid, and like the archgriffin it is immune to fire.
Combat strategy
Stay mobile, because its acid and diving attacks punish anyone standing still. Bring it down with bolts or Grapeshot, then use Aard and strike while it is on the ground.
- Hybrid oil on the silver sword.
- Aard when it lands.
- Grapeshot and crossbow bolts to ground it.
- Fire does not work, so skip Igni.
