Contract: The Griffin from the Highlands is a witcher contract tied to Crow’s Perch in Velen. A true master armourer is hard to find, so Geralt is pleased to meet Yoana, a master smith working at the Baron’s hold. Before she can forge the finest armour, though, she needs some very specific ingredients, and those have to come from an archgriffin.
The beast has made its nest in the highlands east-northeast of Heatherton, not far from a bandit camp. Archgriffins are bigger, meaner cousins of the royal griffin Geralt fought in White Orchard, and they are not to be taken lightly. Draconid oil, Grapeshot and the Aard sign to knock it out of the air are the classic tools.
When the fight is over, Geralt brings the ingredients back to Yoana and can also hand the trophy to the quartermaster at Crow’s Perch for a reward. The quest is closely linked to Master Armorers, so finishing it opens up some of the best crafting options in Velen.
