Hauteville, literally “Upper Town”, is the largest and wealthiest district of Beauclair, the capital of Toussaint. The walled quarter sits on a high plain above the rest of the city and has four gates, four squares, two cemeteries, two taverns, an embassy and a bank.

The Gran’place, Beauclair’s main market square, is found here, along with The Pheasantry tavern, the venue for the gwent tournament in Blood and Wine.
