A mysterious water goddess of chivalry, worshipped near Vizima and in Toussaint, who grants Aerondight to the worthy.

The Lady of the Lake is a powerful being of the water, thought by some to be a vila or a nymph. Knights revere her as a goddess of chivalry, both around Vizima in Temeria and throughout the duchy of Toussaint.

In The Witcher

In the first game, she dwells in a lily-covered inlet on Black Tern Island near Vizima, worshipped both by the villagers of Murky Waters and by the vodyanoi who share the lake with them. She can be consulted on matters of destiny, takes a dim view of grail quests, and turns out to be rather lonely, since her worshippers adore her from a respectful distance. A witty enough Geralt can keep her company; a pompous one gets dubbed “Sir Bonehead” and sent away.

In Blood and Wine

In There Can Be Only One, once Geralt has proven the five chivalric virtues and defeated the hermit guarding Lac Célavy, the Lady rises from the water and presents him with Aerondight, one of the finest silver swords in the game.
