Sweet Revenge is the main quest of Act V in The Witcher, running from the Dike through the swamp cemetery to the Old Manor. Early in the act King Foltest gives Geralt his blessing to hunt down Azar Javed and finish Salamandra for good, and every clue points to the gang’s leader hiding near Old Vizima. (You can actually pick it up a little early, by telling Dandelion about Berengar’s letter at the end of Act IV.)
Kalkstein links a strange beast to Salamandra’s experiments with the stolen witcher secrets, and once the striga business is done Velerad passes on the king’s hint about the Old Manor. There Count de Wett admits working with Salamandra and has to be put down, the mutated Rayla must be killed, and a koshchey lurks in the catacombs. The trail ends in Azar Javed’s laboratory, where a mirror reveals who has been pulling the strings all along: the Grand Master of the Order of the Flaming Rose.
