Mastercrafted Ursine Armor

Mastercrafted Ursine Armor is the top-level chest piece of the Bear School gear, the strongest of the base game’s four levels (basic, enhanced, superior and mastercrafted). It is heavy armor built for a tanky build that takes hits and fights back, and its headline bonus is +20% Adrenaline Point gain.

It is the component needed to craft the grandmaster version in the Blood and Wine expansion, the Grandmaster Ursine Armor. Compared with the Superior Ursine Armor the armor rating goes from 185 to 205. The rest of the mastercrafted set: gauntlets, trousers, boots.

The matching blades from the same tier are the Mastercrafted Ursine Steel Sword and the Mastercrafted Ursine Silver Sword.

How to obtain

Craft

Crafted by a master armorer once you have the mastercrafted Ursine armor diagram. The recipe consumes the Superior Ursine Armor, so craft it first. Requires character level 34.

In the books & earlier games

Diagram location

All four Mastercrafted Ursine armor diagrams lie at the Destroyed Bastion south of Bald Mountain in Velen, in a gap by the southern wall of the tower. A cyclops guards the ruins, though you can sneak around it.
