Einar Gausel
Einar Gausel is a dwarf in Chapter I of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, living in Lobinden by Flotsam. The local nonhumans have no formal organisation, but Einar is the closest thing they have to a leader. He represents them as best he can and sometimes acts as a go-between with the commandant, Bernard Loredo, which is why the Scoia’tael regard him as a collaborator on a human leash.
He also runs a small bookshop with a surprisingly good selection for such a remote place.
In The Witcher 2
For Geralt, Einar is above all a useful merchant. He sells books on monsters, which provide the knowledge needed for contracts such as The Nekker Contract and The Endrega Contract, and he plays dice poker once Geralt has beaten the easier players at the tavern.
He is also a skilled barber, the only person in Flotsam who can do anything about Geralt’s hair. The haircut service was added in patch 1.2.
