Edwin Leistham
Edwin Leistham, known as “Petal”, is a knight in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings with a taste for old-fashioned, theatrical chivalry. He speaks in rhyme, offers ladies feathers from the helmets of defeated foes, and earned his nickname by placing flower petals in the mouths of the enemies he killed. It made him a favourite with crowds of admiring women.
In The Witcher 2
Geralt meets him in the Kaedweni camp in Chapter II on Roche‘s path, during The Butcher of Cidaris. Leistham is the second of the arena fighter Letande Avet, the Butcher of Cidaris himself. To save Sven, son of the old soldier Manfred, from a hopeless duel, Geralt turns it into a two-on-two fight: Geralt and Sven against Avet and Leistham.
The flourish does not survive contact with a witcher. Leistham hits far softer than Avet, and the journal notes that he was carried from the field barely alive, concluding that a knight whose substance does not match his style should spend more time training and less time picking flowers.
