Gaspar
Gaspar is an alchemist in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and the colleague of Farid. Together the two scholars chase knowledge with more enthusiasm than caution, and it costs them dearly.
In The Witcher 2
Geralt meets the pair in Flotsam, where they try to persuade him to test a potion for them as part of an experiment on witcher physiology, one whose results would take many years to appear.
In Chapter 3 they are back in Loc Muinne, hunting for the hidden laboratory of the sorcerer Dearhenna in the caverns beneath the city. After their hired mercenaries fail, Geralt accompanies them in The Secrets of Loc Muinne. The laboratory is guarded by riddle traps, and neither alchemist survives: Gaspar, like Farid, dies in one of Dearhenna’s traps. The sorcerer’s scattered notes lead on to Dearhenna’s Journal and A Tome Truly Rare.
