Water Hag

Water Hags are repulsive, tall necrophages that haunt deep marshes, damp caves, and misty wetlands. Peasant legends falsely portray them as ancient water nymphs who aged into decrepit hags after falling in love with mortals. They possess cadaver-colored skin covered in warty scales, seaweed-like hair, and long bony growths on their backs. Smelling heavily of thick mud and rotting fish, these solitary monsters possess immense raw strength and frequently share territories with packs of drowners.

Combat strategy

Water Hags move through shallow water and mud with terrifying agility and throw blinding mud balls that completely disrupt your vision. Block these projectiles using the Quen Sign or burn their thick skin using Igni. They are highly sensitive to Northern Wind bombs, which freeze them solid, allowing Geralt to deal massive damage with a silver sword coated in Necrophage Oil.
