Overview
Gwent: Big City Players is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, played in and around Novigrad. Start it from the notice in Harborside, “Vimme Vivaldi Cheats!”, or by challenging Vivaldi directly. Each opponent sends Geralt on to the next.
The opponents
- Vimme Vivaldi at the Vivaldi Bank on Hierarch Square (Scoia’tael deck). Vesemir card.
- Marquise Serenity at the Passiflora (Nilfgaardian deck). Morvran Voorhis card.
- Sigismund Dijkstra at his bathhouse (Northern Realms deck). Esterad Thyssen card.
- A Scoia’tael merchant at the trading camp outside the city (Scoia’tael deck). He gives the powerful Ciri card.
Dijkstra’s timing
Dijkstra is tied to the main story. He cannot be reached from the start of Final Preparations, and if you settle things peacefully with him in Blindingly Obvious, he stays out of reach until Reason of State is over. If you do not plan to side with him there, play him before The Isle of Mists. If he dies unbeaten, the quest counts his match as won, but the Scoia’tael merchant drops out of the chain and has to be played separately.
Completing the quest earns the leader card Francesca Findabair: The Beautiful.
