- Talk to the Bloody Baron at Crow’s Perch to learn about his missing wife and daughter.
- Search the family chambers using Witcher Senses to find clues of a struggle and a hidden talisman.
- Consult the local Pellar in the woods to learn about the Baron’s unborn child and the curse.
- Return to the castle at night and choose whether to transform the Botchling into a Lubberkin or kill it.
- Follow the spirit of the Lubberkin to the fisherman’s hut to discover where Anna and Tamara fled.
Quest Consequences & Choices
This quest features one of the most tragic branches in the game. If Geralt frees the spirit in ‘The Whispering Hillock’, the Baron’s wife Anna is cursed by the Crones and dies, leading the heartbroken Baron to take his own life. If Geralt destroys the spirit, Anna survives but loses her mind, and the Baron takes her away to seek a cure.
