Boussy La Valette

Boussy La Valette is the young son of Baroness La Valette, rumored to be King Foltest’s child, who died on the way to Loc Muinne.

Boussy La Valette is a young boy in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the son of Baroness Maria Louisa La Valette and brother of Anaïs. Officially the children belong to the old baron, but it is widely rumored that their real father is King Foltest of Temeria. Even as a small boy, Boussy showed the pride and stubbornness the La Valettes were known for, and plenty of people put that down to his royal blood.

In The Witcher 2

In the Prologue, Foltest storms La Valette Castle to take the two children back. Geralt and the king find them in the monastery after the Archpriest gives up their location. Moments later, after Foltest has sent the children off to another room, the king is murdered by the kingslayer Letho in Blood of His Blood.

With the king dead, Boussy is sent toward Loc Muinne with a convoy while Geralt travels up the Pontar, but he never arrives. As Geralt’s journal puts it, ill intentions set off a chain of unfortunate events that ended in the boy’s death. It leaves Anaïs as the only surviving child of Foltest and the baroness, and so the sole and deeply problematic heir to the Temerian throne.
