The Walls Have Ears is a Chapter 2 quest in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, set in Vergen on Iorveth’s path and part of the investigation into who poisoned Saskia. It picks up during the commotion at the town hall, where a peasant tells Geralt that a friend of his, Willy Oblate, is being held by Iorveth’s Scoia’tael as a suspect.
Willy is in no mood to chat, but a bit of Axii or some old-fashioned intimidation gets him talking: he overheard a suspicious conversation between Prince Stennis and the priest Olcan, who has since died on the cursed battlefield. Cecil Burdon knows where Olcan lived, and in the priest’s room Geralt finds designs for a goblet matching the one Saskia drank from at the council. It is a solid lead that feeds into Suspect: Thorak and the case against Stennis, though not the whole answer.
