Royal Blood is a Chapter 2 main quest in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, set in Vergen on Iorveth’s path. One ingredient of Saskia’s antidote is royal blood, and only two people nearby can supply it: Prince Stennis and King Henselt.
Stennis refuses at first. Then peasants gather outside his house, blaming him for Saskia’s poisoning and ready to lynch him. Iorveth calms the crowd, and Geralt questions nobles, peasants, a dwarven craftsman, Zoltan and Dandelion, a peasant suspected of taking a bribe, and Stennis himself. The clues point to Olcan, a priest close to the prince, and to the goblet made for Saskia.
Geralt then decides Stennis’s fate. Either the prince is handed over to Saskia for judgment, leaving Henselt as the only source of royal blood, or the peasants kill him and Geralt takes a vial of his blood.
