Maravel
Count Maravel is one of Temeria’s most influential nobles in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. A pragmatic negotiator able to win over even firm opponents, he is an active and effective participant in Temerian politics. Like Baron Kimbolt he has great ambitions, but he pursues them with more restraint, ingenuity and precision.
One of his boldest plans was to kidnap King Foltest’s children while their convoy travelled to Loc Muinne. He had made a deal with the Nilfgaardians to deliver Boussy and Anais to them in return for their support of his claim to the Temerian throne. Although he wanted a strong Temeria, this made him a traitor.
After investigating, Geralt can conclude that Maravel is responsible for Boussy’s death and hand him over to John Natalis. Alternatively, Geralt can decide that Maravel will not answer for Boussy’s disappearance, despite suspecting him of many other misdeeds, and the count remains innocent in Natalis’ eyes.
